European Space Agency & SSC Space SciComm

In my role at SSC Space, we collaborate with major space agencies and organisations, including the European Space Agency (ESA). For this project, I pitched a storyboard, filmed, edited and published a series of video reels spotlighting our joint work on two ESA Earth observation missions: Biomass and EarthCARE.

The Biomass mission maps the world's forests from space, measuring carbon stored in biomass to improve our understanding of the global carbon cycle and climate change. EarthCARE studies the interaction between clouds, aerosols, and radiation to advance climate modelling and weather forecasting. SSC Space supports both missions through ground station services, receiving and relaying critical satellite data back to Earth.

The reels resonated strongly with audiences, reaching 62,000+ views and 1,500+ likes on social media, a strong result for specialized space science content, and reinforced how effective accessible, well-told storytelling can be at bringing complex missions to a wider audience.
