NLP
This was a brief me and five other classmates were handed during my time at Hyper Island. For this project we were working with a client who needed a new brand identity, and had expressed they had troubles with the way people viewed them.
We wanted to help both them and their potential clients by creating a transparent and honest design which would convey what they could offer in a truthful way. Their organisation had received backlash in regards to what type of services they were offering, and with our design we wished to de-mystify who they were by making sure all the important information was of easy and immediate access.
My role in this team was to lead the design team and make sure everything we were designing connected back to the root of what we wanted to brand to feel like. How I did this was by giving everyone a lot of own responsibilities, and allowing space for things to happen naturally and spontaneously at the same time as staying on track with the project.
We were a fluid and adaptable team which taught me a lot about how to work in the moment and not always needing to follow the exact schedule as long as you achieve what needs to be achieved in time.
Some days we would all work together side by side, and other days we needed space and time to get into the nitty gritty of our work. Being able to communicate these things whenever needed in a constructive way to ensure productivity within the team was a major key for the success of the group.

Together we created a brand book containing a new logo, new color schemes, new fonts, a new tone of voice, illustrations and a manual for how to combine these elements.
Their previous design had a lot of different designs for multiple medias, confusing the client on what to connect the brand with. I believe we elevated the brand by tying the components together, minimising the amount of visuals and creating something that felt timeless and modern.
